About
I am a Ph.D. candidate in linguistics. Languages have always fascinated me since early childhood, influencing the course of my life.
My fascination with languages had kept my head in my notebooks, scribbling away all things conjugations, vocabulary, and grammar rules using Wikipedia and the foreign language grammar books that either my parents or I bought. This was how my pre-teen self enjoyed spending her spare time from 6th grade through high school, growing up in the Bay Area in California.
This passion for linguistics has landed me the role as a Ph.D. candidate on the other side of the globe at the University of Cologne in July 2020, where I’ve begun working on an unprecedented investigation on colexification in German Sign Language and British Sign Language.
